Your comfort zone is your danger zone. If you don’t leave your comfort zone, you won’t achieve what you want in your life. All your dreams, both the bigger ones and the slightly smaller things you want, are beyond your comfort zone. Everything you already have required you to overcome your comfort zone. But it’s already behind you. In this post, I will show you that it is worth leaving your own comfort zone, because then you get the most from your life.

Comfort zone — what is it?

It is a boundary of any area of life inside which you feel comfortable. While one person may find it comfortable to run for an hour, ascending to the second floor using stairs can already be significantly outside the comfort zone for another individual, causing considerable difficulty. For some, public speech is a terrible thing, while there are people who love it. For me, publishing a simple book in the USA in a few hours is easy. But for most people, it will be something difficult and even impossible to do. As you may already guess, you can expand your comfort zone. But what for? The reason is simple — to get what you dream of from life.

What do you want? How to get ? Comfort zone is your limitation and key to success at the same time

It doesn’t matter if you want to have more money in your life, improve your health, keep your body in shape, have better relationships, be a happier person, etc. In order to improve every aspect of your life, you must overcome fear and go beyond your individual comfort zone.

You don’t have to do great things and bend your comfort zone to the limits of possibilities right away. Even small daily steps taken to expand your comfort zone will allow you to increase your confidence from the first day. Everyday little steps you take will make you go further and further over time. You’ll feel like you’re going in the right direction. You’ll be a better man.

Force yourself to act every day because the comfort zone blocks you

I try to do something every day that upsets me and makes me nervous. I realized that what I wanted required me to do stressful things. To have what you don’t have you must do what you haven’t been doing so far. If you sit on your ass every day in a safe zone of your comfort, what do you think will happen to you? You’ll lose your life, and you will be lost yourself.

Imagine you are stuck in your bed all month. How would this affect your body, muscles, bones, etc.? You would become a very weak and fragile person very quickly. That’s why you have to force yourself to move forward every day, because that’s the only way to keep yourself in shape and keep going.

It’s not that hard at all

Remember that a small step is enough every day, and the key to success is regular work. You don’t have to do big things today, but do something small every day that stress you out. If you act regularly, it won’t be that hard, and over time you’ll see how much your life has changed. I was also very afraid of moving to another city once, I was afraid of working as a waiter, then it seemed to me that working as a restaurant manager was something very difficult. Then, I started publishing books on Amazon, blogging and recording YouTube clips. Yes, I was right — it wasn’t easy, but a small step every day led me to where I am and I wouldn’t be able to achieve it in a few months. If you spread the process over several years, it turns out that every day was enjoyable, and I only had to slightly expand my own comfort zone each day. The long-term effects of these actions are astonishing.

Comfort zone vs. failures

Maybe you’re trying to earn more, change your job, improve your life, or maybe your health? But why are you not progressing in what you want to change and in your actions? Because you play within your safe zone. You think you can move forward without working every day and doing new stressful things?

When I published my first books, I was very afraid that each of them would be a flop and that it would not work. But I acted despite fear, learned new stuff and did things that felt uncomfortable. Over time, what was difficult and new turned out to be known and easy. However, everything required overcoming fear and action in areas previously unknown. I haven’t been able to avoid many failures, but only taking risks and leaving the comfort zone gives us effects over time.

You need stress and challenges — the comfort zone is in your head

If you’re only doing things that don’t stress you out and don’t force you to cross your borders, that means you’re not growing. If you go to the gym and can carry weights despite the pain, it means the effects will come. If the weights you carry are too light, then there will be no effects. It is similar in other aspects of life. Arnold Schwarzenegger said you can tell the best body-builders from the weaker ones by their ability to reach the pain zone and carry on. This makes them successful. If you feel stress, upset, enjoy it and act anyway. This will allow you to grow every day.
