Privacy Policy

Personal data 
The controller of your personal data as per the meaning of the Data Protection Regulations is “MK Translation Studio Marcin Kucharski”, ul. Św. The purposes, legal bases and the period of processing of personal data shall be determined on a case-by-case basis for each purpose of processing the data. 

Permissions. GDPR grants you the following potential rights to process your personal information: 

the right of access to personal data, 
the right to rectify personal data, 
the right to delete personal data, 
the right to restrict the processing of personal data, 
the right to object to the processing of personal data, 
the right to transfer data, 
the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, 
the right to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data, if you have given your consent. 
The rules relating to the exercise of these powers are described in detail in Articles 16 to 21 of the GDPR. I encourage you to familiarize yourself with these regulations. I consider it necessary to explain to you that the rights indicated above are not absolute and you will not be entitled to all processing activities of your personal data. For your convenience, I have made efforts to indicate the rights you have in this operation as part of the description of the individual processing of personal data. 

I would like to stress that one of the powers mentioned above is always yours — if you believe that I have committed a personal data breach when processing your personal data, you have the opportunity to bring an action before the supervisory authority (President of the Data Protection Office). 

You can also always ask me to share information with you about what data I have about you and what purposes I process it for. Simply send a message to [email protected]. However, I have made every effort to ensure that the information you are interested in is fully reflected in this Privacy Policy. If you have any questions about the processing of your personal information you can also use the email address provided above. 

Security. I guarantee the confidentiality of any personal information provided to me. I assure you that I take all the security and protection measures required by the data protection laws. Personal data shall be collected with due care and adequately protected against unauthorized access to them. 

Data recipients. Your data may be processed by my subcontractors, who are the entities I use to process data and provide services to you, or to fulfil orders in the online store.

All entities entrusted with the processing of personal data shall ensure that adequate security measures are in place to protect and secure personal data as required by law. 

Processing purposes and activities 
User account. When registering a user account, you must provide the required information, such as your email address, full name, address details, and phone number. Providing this data is voluntary but it is also a pre-requisite to set up an account. When editing your account details, you can give more detailed information. 

The data provided in connection with registration of the account shall be processed for the purpose of registration and maintaining the account under an electronic service agreement concluded by registering the account (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR). 

Your account details will be processed as long as your account remains in use. When you choose to delete an account, I will also delete the account details. However, if you delete an account, you will not be able to delete the order information you have placed using your account. 

You can correct your account information at any time. You can also choose to delete your account at any time. You also have the right to transfer the data referred to in Article 20 of the GDPR. 

Orders. When you place an order, you must provide the necessary information to complete the order, such as your name, billing address, email address, phone number. Providing data is voluntary but necessary to place your order. 

The data provided to me in connection with the order is processed for the purpose of execution of the order (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR), issuing the invoice (Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR), recording the invoice in my accounting books (Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR) and for archiving and statistical purposes (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). 

Order data will be processed for the time necessary for the execution of the order and thereafter until the limitation period for the contractual claims has expired. Moreover, after that date, data can still be processed by me for statistical purposes. Please also note that I have a duty to keep invoices with your personal information for a period of 5 years from the end of the tax year in which the tax obligation arose. 

For order data, you are not able to correct this data after completing the order. You may not object to the processing of data nor demand the deletion of data until the limitation period for the contractual claims has expired. Similarly, you cannot oppose the processing of data and request the deletion of the invoice data. Once the expiration period for your contractual claims has expired, you can either oppose the processing of your data by me for statistical purposes, or ask for your data to be deleted from my database. 

You also have the right to transfer the order data as referred to in Article 20 of the GDPR. 

Newsletter. If you would like to sign up to a newsletter, you must provide me with your email address via the newsletter sign-up form. Providing your details is voluntary, but it is a pre-requisite to sign up to the newsletter. 

The data provided when signing up to the newsletter is used to send you a newsletter and the legal basis for its processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a of the GDPR) granted upon signing up to the newsletter. 

The data will be processed as long as the newsletter feature is in use, unless you have previously unsubscribed from the newsletter, which will remove your data from the database. 

You can correct your data in the newsletter database at any time, and you can request your data to be deleted, by unsubscribing from the newsletter. You also have the right to transfer the data referred to in Article 20 of the GDPR. 

Webinars. If you want to participate in any webinar I organize, you must provide me with personal details such as your email address and your name. The data is voluntary but necessary to take part in the webinar. 

The data provided for participating in a webinar is used to ensure you webinar services and the legal basis for its processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a of the GDPR) granted when signing up for the newsletter. 

You can correct your data saved in the webinar system any time, and you can request your data to be deleted. You also have the right to transfer the data referred to in Article 20 of the GDPR. 

Complaints and contract withdrawal. If you make a complaint or withdraw from the contract, you provide me with the personal details contained in the body of the complaint or withdrawal statement, which include: full name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, bank account number. Providing this data is voluntary but it is a pre-requisite to submit a complaint or to withdraw from the contract. 

The data provided to in connection with making complaints or withdrawal from the contract shall be used for the purposes of the complaint or withdrawal procedure (Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR). 

The data will be processed for the time necessary for the execution of the complaint or withdrawal procedure. Complaints and withdrawal statements may also be archived for statistical purposes. 

You are not allowed to correct this information for claims and withdrawal statements. You may not object to the processing of data nor demand the deletion of data until the limitation period for the contractual claims has expired. Once the expiration period for your contractual claims has expired, you can either oppose the processing of your data by me for statistical purposes, or ask for your data to be deleted from my database. 

Comments: If you’d like to post a blog comment, you’ll need to fill out the form and provide your email address together with your first name. Providing this data is voluntary but it is also a pre-requisite to add a comment. 

The data provided when adding a comment is used to send you a newsletter and the legal basis for its processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a of the GDPR) resulting from the action of adding a comment. 

This data will be processed as long as the comment will be on the blog, unless you have previously asked to remove the comment, which will remove your data from the database. 

You can correct your comment-related data any time, and you can request it to be deleted. You also have the right to transfer the data referred to in Article 20 of the GDPR. 

Email contact. When you contact me via email, also by submitting a request through a contact form, you naturally provide me with your email address as the sender of the message. You can also include other personal information in the body of the message. Providing this data is voluntary but it is also a pre-requisite to contact me. 

In this case, tour data is being processed for the purposes of contact, and the processing is carried out under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, which is your consent to initiate a contact with me. The legal basis for post-contact processing is the justified purpose of archiving internal correspondence (Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR. 

The contents of the mail may be archived and I am unable to clearly determine when it will be deleted. You have the right to request the history of correspondence you have had with me (if it was subject to archiving), as well as to request its deletion, unless its archiving is justified by my overriding interests, such as defence against potential claims on your part. 

Cookies and other tracking technologies 
My website, like almost all other websites, uses cookies. 

Cookies are small pieces of text information stored on your terminal device (e.g., computer, tablet, smartphone), which can be read by my ICT system (first-party cookies) or by the ICT system of third parties (third-party cookies). 

Some of the cookies I use are removed after the session of the web browser ends, i.e. once the browser is closed (so-called session cookies). Other cookies are stored on your end device and allow me to recognize your browser the next time you access the site (permanent cookies).

Consent to cookies. The first time you visit the website, you will be informed about the use of cookies. With this special tool, you can manage cookies from the website. In addition, you can always change your browser’s cookies settings, or you can delete cookies at all. Browsers manage cookies in different ways. In the browser’s menu, you will find an explanation of how to change your cookies settings. Please note that disabling or restricting the use of cookies may make it difficult to use my websites, as well as many other websites that use cookies. 

First-party Cookies. I use first-party cookies to ensure that the website, in particular the order process and logging in to your account, works properly. 

Third Party Cookies. Like most of today’s websites, my site uses the features provided by third parties, which involves the use of third party cookies. The use of such cookies is described below. 

Google Analytics. I use Google Analytics provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA I am doing this, based on my legitimate interest, which is to produce statistics and analyze them in order to optimize my websites. 

Google Analytics automatically collects information about your use of my website. The information collected in this way is most often passed to and stored in the Google server in the United States. 

Due to the anonymization of the IP address that I activated, your IP address is truncated before forwarding. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is passed to the Google server in the United States and only shortened there. The anonymous IP address provided by your browser in Google Analytics is generally not linked to other Google data. 

Since Google LLC is based in the United States and uses the technical infrastructure located in the United States, it has joined the EU-US-Privacy Shield to ensure an adequate level of protection of personal data required by European legislation. Under the agreement between the US and the European Commission, the latter has identified an adequate level of data protection for the companies holding the Privacy Shield certificate. 

You can prevent your cookie data from being recorded on my website by Google, as well as from being processed by Google by installing the browser plugin available from here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. 

As part of Google Analytics service, I also collect demographic data and interest data. In the cookie settings directly from my website, you can decide whether or not you consent to the collection of such data about you.

Facebook Pixel. I use marketing tools available through Facebook and provided by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave. Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. By using these tools, I’m targeting you on Facebook. I am doing so based on my legitimate interest in marketing my own products or services. 

In order to target you with ads personalized to your behavior on my site, I have implemented Facebook Pixel on my website to automatically collect information about your use of my site in terms of pages viewed. The information collected in this way is most often passed to and stored in the Facebook server in the United States. 

The information collected by Facebook Pixel is anonymous, i.e. it does not allow me to identify you. I only know what actions you have taken within my website. However, I’d like to inform you that Facebook may combine this information with other information about you collected through your use of Facebook and use it for your own purposes, including marketing purposes. Facebook’s actions are no longer dependent on me, and you can search for them directly in the Facebook’s Privacy Policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation. You can also manage your privacy settings from your Facebook account. 

Since Facebook Inc. is based in the United States and uses technical infrastructure located in the United States, it has joined the EU-US-Privacy Shield to ensure an adequate level of protection of personal data required by European legislation. Social tools. My websites use plugins and other social networking tools provided by social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn. 

When viewing my website that includes this plugin, your browser will connect directly to the social network administrator (service provider) servers. The plugin content is shared directly with your browser by your service provider and integrated with the website. With this integration, service providers will be informed that your browser has viewed my website, even if you do not have a profile with the service provider or are not logged in with the service provider. This information (including your IP address) is sent directly by your browser to the service provider server (some servers are located in the USA) and stored there. 

If you have logged in to one of the social networks, this service provider will be able to directly link your visit on my website to your profile in this particular social network. 

If you use a particular plugin, such as by hitting the “Like” or “Share” button, the corresponding information will also be sent directly to the server of the respective service provider and stored there. 

In addition, this information will be posted to your social network and will be shared with people added as your contacts. The purpose and scope of data collection and its further processing and use by service providers, as well as the possibility of contacting you, and your rights in this regard and the possibility of making settings to ensure the protection of your privacy are described in the privacy policies of individual service providers.

If you do not want social networks to link the data collected during your visit on my website directly to your profile in particular social media website, then you must log out of that website before visiting my website. You can also completely prevent the plugins from loading on the web page by using appropriate extensions for your browser, such as blocking scripts. 

Video. To embed video on my website, I use YouTube and Vimeo. For this purpose cookies from Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA relating to YouTube and cookies from Vimeo Inc. are used. The cookies are only loaded when the video is played. If you don’t accept to load them, stop playing video. 

When you play a video, Google or Vimeo receives this information, even if you do not have a profile with the service provider or you are not logged in with the service provider. This information (including your IP address) is sent directly by your browser to the service provider server (some servers are located in the USA) and stored there. 

If you have logged in to Google or Vimeo, this service provider will be able to directly link the fact that you have played a video on my website to your profile in this particular social network. The purpose and scope of data collection and its further processing and use by service providers, as well as the possibility of contacting you, and your rights in this regard and the possibility of making settings to ensure the protection of your privacy are described in the privacy policies of individual service providers. 

If you do not want Google or Vimeo to link the data collected when you play a video on my website directly to your profile in particular social media website, then you must log out of that website before visiting my website. You can also completely prevent the plugins from loading on the web page by using appropriate extensions for your browser, such as blocking scripts.

Server logs 
Using this website results in sending queries to the server hosting this website. Each request to the server is saved in the server logs. 

Logs include your IP address, server date and time, browser information, and the operating system you use. Logs are saved to and stored on the server. 

The data stored in the server logs is not associated with specific people using the website and is not used by me to identify you. 

The server logs are only a reference for administering the site, and their content is not disclosed to anyone other than those authorized to administer the server.
